Today, I am doing that terrifying thing that I highly recommend you all try at least once. No. Not electrical play, although I do suggest you all give that a go, I mean going to a blogging conference; BlogHer Food.
Its a couple days outside of my regular life. Calories have a discounted count. An extra glass of wine is encouraged. Walking up to complete strangers and saying Hi is not only accepted, it is encouraged. Classes and lectures and discussions of all sorts go on all around you. You meet amazing people and they tell you how fabulous you are. Then? People give you free things. Like chocolate.
But the best part is, back home? My Mr is being forced to deal with Monkey one on one in a full time manner. I’m not saying The Mr isn’t a fabulous dad. He may be the greatest dad ever. I’m just saying that with me there, I feel like he forgets how much work raising a child is.
God I hope he’s not reading this. It will totally blow my cover.
But. Fact is, when I return from a weekend away at one of these conferences, he has learned how to do all the little things that he tends to leave to me. He learns the requirements for simple things, like leaving the house, running into the grocery store or, you know, returning a phone call, and is infinitely more help when I return.
Now? Off to infiltrate the food blogging community. I hope I don’t humiliate myself too badly.

I love your blog...just catching up with it here and there. Keep it up, it's very good. :)
