I think we can all agree that I have failed this months NaBloPoMo quite miserably. I have indeed learned more about my iPad and have become more comfortable using it. It’s still WAY easier to post with my laptop though. I have failed to torment Beaker every day. And most sadly, I have totally failed to post something every day.
Oh, I have a LOT to write about, I just failed to realize that June meant, not only several big trips, but that Monkey would no longer be in school and that I would be spending a lot of time in the dungeon to pay for the aforementioned travel. Then Monkey got a fun fever for a day or so and my car did this:
Which, when you drive a Prius, basically a black box with no moving parts and a couple of blinking lights, this is the light that means “you probably don’t want to take me on the highway or far from home. But I’m not telling you why.” Two days later the mechanic finally figured out that the rug got caught in the hatch and the light got left on and drained the system and made the horn honk and the OH NO!! light come on.
Let’s hear it for fancy pants high tech cars!
So instead of writing or unpacking or doing laundry or cleaning the house or picking up legos so I wouldn’t constantly step on those evil mother fu … or water my plants or weed my garden or did I mention the laundry? Instead of doing anything productive, I took the car into the shop. Which was right next to the Lego Store. So, we bought another small set with CatWomen and BatMan.
So I basically shot myself in the foot sort of metaphorically, but with Legos.
So really, what I need is a personal assistant. I wanted a clone, which would be MUCH more fun to drink with, but as someone wise pointed out, Clones go wonky. And really? I have enough wonky in my life.
Realistically, there is the same chance of me being able to afford a personal assistant as there is of Monkey using my DNA to create a clone of me during his afternoon No Sleeping, All Destruction naptime extravaganza.
At this point, I think the best I can hope for, is for someone to write an iPhone app that will randomly txt me a reminder not to buy any more Legos.
This will, unfortunately, not help me with my problem of not having enough time to post, but will greatly improve my ability to get from one end of the house to the other.
