Do you remember when that host of a children's TV show turned out to have made an adult film (or maybe it was soft core, can't remember) in the past? And she was fired??? THAT was messed up too! This woman in an actor! She probably took a wide range of acting jobs in the past. What's the big deal? Those kids probably heard more about Sasha Gray and what she does for a living from the uproar than they would have if people had just let it go.

people are so fucking stupid... it's the same people who get all up in arms if a gay person is teaching their kid... wtf does it matter if that person is gay.. does that make them any less capable to teach the material?? another one is a teacher who is a dominatrix in her spare time ... wtf.. who cares what teachers do in their off time... as long as they aren't banging their students, murdering people or generally doing other such reprehensible things... what does it matter if they like to flog people in a dungeon while wearing latex?

Two things about this are ridiculous. 1. That people had a problem with it. I mean, FFS, as you said, heaven forbid an attractive, modestly-dressed young woman read a story to some children! OH NOEZ! I hadn't even been aware of this issue until reading about it in your post, but Sasha could read to any of my kids' classes any old time and it would be fine by me. 2. That I had to wait until I got home to read your blog, because while it was okay with everything ELSE in my Reader, PseudoCorp's innernet filter has decided that your blog is pornography. Sigh.

Nope not uncomfortable. I couldn't even recognize who she was until you said something. Honestly. (wait, shit... I just gave out way too much information about myself didn't I? fuck) Anyway, if she's there from a voluntary standpoint and not talking about her career in depth which is not appropriate for third graders (although for a class of graduating HS seniors could be viewed very interestingly), it should be fine. We can't keep condemning people based on their, sex, religion, profession etc. As long as no registered sex offenders are trying to scope out my kid I'm pretty chill. What's next, don't let the gays talk to the kiddies...they might turn gay... oh wait, already been down that road.... pull your heads out of your asses people, there's bigger fish to fry.

Nope, people are just wacko. Random people read in classrooms all the time. If I were willing to do a CBC I could read to kids through my work. (or I could skip the CBC and go read to my daughter's class - apparently parents don't have to prove they aren't a threat to the school) The ONLY way I can see there being concern on the parents' part is if she was in the classroom as a celeb. Because then they might have to answer questions about how she's famous, and that might make them uncomfortable (because who could remember Entourage when all you're thinking about is Masturbation Nation).

I would not care if she read to my kids. If my kids knew who she was and what she used to do, I have WAY bigger issues! Like you said she is a pretty girl reading to kids. End of story.
